Ai features are not enabled (but they were 30 min ago)

This is strange and I am getting it in 3 environments for different clients. Create a custom copilot, deploy and everything is working fine. Then 24 hours later there is a minor update to instructions and you can't edit them - getting this message.

The copilot chat, deployed in teams is still working... What is going wrong?

I had the issue yesterday after creating a copilot and it just would not complete the set up. I suspect it was an issue at MS side.
I tried again with a new copilot 2 hours ago and set up perfectly.
    Cheers

    Hi,

I'm able to create and publish locally my copilot but there is one problem.

The COPILOT "instructions" field is not accessible to me. In copilot studio in my copilot settings.

With this message "AI features aren't enabled, so any instructions won't apply"

I have office 365 for business and a copilot licence and a copilot studio licence (in free trial now)

I'm also the office 365 admin.
I went to the related policies and nothing is off regarding generative AI.

Really don't know what to do?

    Help

@robu1 There is no tenant setting for "enable AI features" at the tenant level.  Where this setting is hiding, no one knows.  It is up and running on creation of a Copilot... it is only 30 min later that it locks down and can't be edited.  You can, create a whole new one and make changes but that is a version nightmare.

    Hi Timothy,

It looks like you are having an issue with AI features in your custom Copilot deployment.

This might be happening for a variety of reasons.

    Try this fixes:

-If you’re a tenant or CRM administrator, you can enable AI features at the tenant level.

-In Teams, go to Copilot for Service, select the Settings tab, and turn on Copilot AI.

You can choose to enable it for the entire organization or specific security groups

In addition, ensure that Copilot for Service APP is added to teams and updated to the latest version.
If this solution has helped resolve this issue.

    Always glad to help.
