Hi im trying to create an production environment but I get the following message:

Creating an environment requires at least 1 GB of database capacity. Request ID: 96a829c6-042c-4f46-ad26-48189acf59c6.

I don't know how to solve that, anyone knows what im doing bad?

i read that i need a Dynamics 365 Plans license but I don't know what license I have, where can i see that?

also in analytics/capacity i have "Database944.88/0 MB", What is the cause of that?

Hello, @Anonymous Provisioning environments are based on database capacity. Previously, it was two environments per Power Apps Plan 2 license. Now all you need is 1GB of available capacity to provision. All environments with or without Common Data Service will consume at least 1GB capacity.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/create-environment

information about licensing can be found here: https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/6/7/96706B15-1CBE-47B7-AB9E-6BC31A377BBB/Dynamics%20365%20Licensing%20Guide%20-%20Feb%202020.pdf

    Hi @Anonymous ,

This seems to be a bit of a hot topic at the moment.  Take a look at this thread for a couple of people with the same issue.

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Governance-and/Unable-to-Create-New-Prod-Env-quot-At-least-1GB-capacity/td-p/444136

From your screenshot, you don't have any capacity which means that you do not have the required Dynamics 365 or Power Apps license to create a new environment.  To find out what license you have, you need to go to your Office 365 Admin Center. Locate your user in the admin center and it will show you the associated licenses.  If you don't have access to this then you need to speak to your IT administrator

thanks a lot  @HSheild  yes you are rigth, I dont have a Dynamics or powerapps license, only have office 365 E3, I will discuss with my IT administrator on whether we buy more capacity or a dynamic Powerapps license.

also so much thanks @Yeiner I will consider this other option that you gave me.

    Hi everybody,

Got the same problem. In my new demo tenant I have assigned the global admin a "Power Apps per user plan" and a "Power Apps Plan 2" license. But the DB capacity of my default environment is still Database1024/0 MB. And so I can't create a new environment.

Now my questions, do I need a "Common Data Service Database Capacity" license? Or do at least four users need a "Power Apps per user plan" license so that the capacity is increased by 250MB*4?

And and by the way for demo purposes there is sadly no "Common Data Service Database Capacity" trail license available.

And what exactly does the note "Your organization can transition to the capacity model when your current term ends or at renewal." at the top of the capacity screen mean?

    Thank you very much
    Jens

Is there any new information on this topic? I'm still not able to create new environments (except trial environments), and I'm not able to increase the database capacity...

hi @Anonymous , well i can´t solve my issue either but I ask to support of ms about it and i get this response

If you want to create an production environment then you need to have any powerapps standalone plan or dynamics 365 custom engagement plan.

also give me this link about documentation of data capacity in powerapps https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/view-self-service-capacity

you should try to ask to support too,to know what answers you.

i have not buy any of the licenses yet.
