Implement approvals inside Power Apps Vs using Power Automate

I am working on building Travel request approval process >> which contain 3 level of approvals, as follow:-

1) Submitter >> His manager >> His Country Head >> HR Manager

so on each approval stage the approval need to review the request info >> online sign the request and click on approve or reject.

so i am not sure should i implement the UI using Power Apps while the approval process using Power Automate? or to develop the whole system suing Power Apps (as mentioned in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49O284deOAI)?

Thanks

Great question. I don't believe there a right or wrong answer. Its more of a personal preference.

My thoughts are if you are naturally comfortable writing PowerFX then doing it Power Apps could be good for you.

Personally I prefer to use Power Automate for Approval processing . This is because:

1 - I find it visually easier to debug than Power Apps.

2 - There maybe more support and examples in the community in Power Automate for this kind of requirement.

Approval flows that are kicked off directly from a Power App have a problem with timeouts since manually triggered flows from Power Apps run synchronously. So give your requirements it should probably be built in Power Apps.
