Hi,
I'm trying to pre-populate a field with the name of the user filling the powerapp form.
I already checked the few topics on this matter (for example but can't make it work https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/auto-populate-username-of-form-filled-user/m-p/1756210#M446244 )
I dont have a DefaultSelectedItems property on the field. I only have a Default field.
When I Use : User().FullName on Default property, it does indeed show my name but it does not appear when I preview the app or when a user uses the app.
Any idea? I'm becoming bald because of it... pulling my hairs too much 😄
@Chonski Can you clarify what control you are using. Is it a Dropdown? A Screenshot would also be helpful.
Hi @CNT
It's just a text field, no dropdown list.
What I'm trying to get is that when someone fills the powerapp form out, it prefills this field with the user name (or email or whatever credential). I'll make the field only "display mode" so they cannot edit it.
When I'm on edit mode, it does show my name (as a user) but when I publish the app, whoever fills the fields, the user field is not pre populated.
Any idea?
May I up this topic in order to see if a solution can be found?
Thanks a lot.
H! same issue here! did you find a solution? Thanks!
