Modeldriven app - Notification center is not displayed

I want to use the in-app notifications in a model-driven app. (In-app notifications in model-driven apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn)

From my perspective as an administrator, everything works. However, the normal standard user does not have access to the notification center(The bell is not displayed.) Does anyone know what permissions need to be granted so that the normal user can access the notification center?

    Hi @Marky

Just to double-check, you have enabled the in-app notification feature?

    1. In the maker studio, open the solution that contains the model driven app

    2. Select the app in question and select the Edit option from the menu

    3. Once you're in the app settings, go to Features and enable in-app notifications by switching thr toggle to Yes.

If the toggle is already set to yes then switch it off and save+refresh app and then switch it back on + refresh app.

In the security role, under Custom Tables, you'd need to assign the read privilege to the users for Notification and Model driven app setting.

If you want users to edit their personal settings then you'd need to also assign the Create, Write, Append privileges on the Model driven app setting; and Append To on the Setting definition (also under custom tables tab/section)

    Kind regards

    Gulshan

    Hello Gulshan,

Thank you very much. The error was the missing user rights for the appusersetting table. This was not clear from the MS documentation.

    Now it works!
