Cannot save form. "Network error when using Patch function: the requested operation is invalid."

Hi all!

I'm having some issues with a Patch function, despite the fact that I have not used Patch anywhere in my form. I have a SubmitForm function that updates the context of my app, and while I can enter EditMode, it won't allow me to save any changes. Below is the errors that flag up when I play my app through Monitor. I initially thought it might've been because I had a Button that would Append text within a DataCard, and thus had it's own separate UpdateContext feature, but I've since removed that and the error still occurs. Also my data comes from a csv. file so there shouldn't be any network errors between the back-end and the front-end but I don't know.

Hope you all can offer me some advice on the matter.

My only suggestion is to try removing all the columns from form and then add them back one by one do pataching after adding one and then again for next one. In this way you'll get to know which column is causing issue.

As you mentioned , you are not using "Patch" Formula , instead you are doing "SubmitForm" , Assuming you dont have any customisation on any data card and you have correct set of dataverse permissions, the only possible cause I can think of is one or more mandatory field is not added in your form.

I had the same Problem. The Solution is on Answer from Qawwam. Find all requiring Datacards. Exclude the requiring from Datacard what you don't need.

What i understood is that you haven't used the patch() but its giving error.

The patch() or submitform() mainly used to store the data in the backend, For E.g, if you are using datasource as sharepoint if sharepoint has any required column any where in the form u havent use the datacard update property. Internally the form is trying to save the data but because of the required field its not allowing you to store the record.

If you fix that the issue will be resolved.

Do this for me please, this will allow us to figure out why its is failing.

FYI NOTE also: You currently have delegation set to 500 rows (the default). You can change that to 2000 in the settings, but we should also fix your Delegation issue, because if the thing giving the warning has more then 2000 rows and you are filtering, then you are for sure, going to miss data and your app will not be Data Consistent

    1. Click on the Row 17

    2. On the right hand side you should see the word Properties (vertically). Click that to open that side window

    3. You are looking for the error (most likey row 20), that causes the Properties window to have 4 tabs, with the last one being Response. Its usually the last row so 20 would make the most sense.

Click until you see the 4 tabs, with Response as the 4rth one.
    Click to Open the Header
    Click to Open the Body
    These will both be collapsed

In the body it should tell you exactly what is wrong.
