Power Automate Desktop Flow File Location

Hello,

I'm new to Power Automate and really excited to learn this product.  I logged into my work O365 and installed PAD on my work desktop.  I opened PAD and created a test flow.  I ran it and it worked!  Now I'm trying to find where this tool saved all of my files to.  I searched my work PC and couldn't find it.  I looked in OneDrive and nothing there either.  I logged into Power Automate web portal and did not see my 'Test Flow'.  I see stuff created by others within my organization but I can't find my stuff.

Can someone please tell me where my files are saved to by the Power Automate Desktop tool?

Thank you

    Hi @sidneyluu ,

You could find your desktop flow here.

    Hi @BOF

Sorry if my  post/question wasn't clear.  I was actually asking where the physical files that comprise the Flow are being stored.  I just can't seem to find them.  I'm just now wondering if it's a permission issue with my O365 account set up at work?  I have a feeling these files are stored in Power Automate Cloud (O365 portal).

    Thanks

    Hi @sidneyluu ,

Your PADs are saved to PowerAutomate as a Desktop Flow but you edit it via the Desktop App.

The files for the flow are cached here:

    C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Console\Workspace

    Hi @BOF

I replaced [UserName] with my Windows login.  This path does not exist on my PAD PC.  I then searched my entire c:\ volume with the string "Power Automate Desktop", many matches came up.  None points to that directory.  In addition, I sorted those 'matches' by 'Date Modified', a few with 3/18/24.  But I worked on my flow yesterday (3/19) and none of the 'matches' had 3/19.  When I simply searched on "Power Automate Desktop\Console", no match came up.  They way PAD saves files seems like a mystery to me at this point.

    Thanks

    Please show hidden folders.

    Hi @BOF

That folder on my PAD PC is already visible meaning all the subfolders under \appdata are not hidden.

I just don't think the files are being saved locally.  They are going to cloud.  If press 'Delete' to remove the flow, it takes about 10 seconds to delete.  At this point, I am almost convinced the files are in the cloud.  My issue has to do with permissions or license.

This is marked as solvd, can you say how you solved it? I'm in exactly the same situation, I worked on several flows earlier in the year, but opening PAD now (and doing an update), it shows no flows!

    Regards
    Pete
