Audio control with variable trigger

Hi!

I'm struggling with an issue that I cant seem to get around.

I want my audio controls to play a sound when my variables are true.

I get it to work when in edit mode and trying the app out.

But in the bublished version it's not working.

Instead it seems like the audio controls are triggered but it stops at 0:00:00s.

I haven't tried the desktop app yet only the web browser. (Edge and Chrome)

The variable is based on a true false value if two labels contain the same text.

Any ideas whats wrong?

It's possible that the issue you are experiencing is related to the audio file path being incorrect in the published version of your app. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check the audio file path: Make sure that the audio file is stored in a location that is accessible in the published version of your app. You can check the audio file path by selecting the audio control, opening the "Advanced" pane in the right-hand side of the screen, and checking the "Audio" property.

    2. Check the audio file format: Make sure that the audio file is in a supported format (e.g. mp3, wav) and that it is not corrupted.

    3. Try using a different audio control: If the issue persists, try using a different audio control to see if the issue is with the specific control you are using.

    4. Check the variable values: Double-check that the variable values are correctly being set to true when the labels contain the same text. You can add a label to your app to display the value of the variable in real-time as you test the app.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be helpful to share more details about your app and the specific controls you are using so that I can better understand the problem you are facing.

    Hi @Varun8492 ,

Normally the trigger needs to be a change of the Variable to true, so if you Start property is varPlay, then

    UpdateContext({varPlay: false});
    UpdateContext({varPlay: true})

should start it. It is also a good idea up upload your sound file to your Media rather than rely on a URL (if you have not already done this)

I went around the issue by creating two labels in the background to compare the text values instead. For some reason your solution worked some of the time but not indefinite.

Might work for me in future projects so still a huge thank you!
