Power Apps - Building Power Apps

ReadNFC function

I have been developing a canvas app on PowerApps that reads information from two screens, each using readNFC to read the info, then compares the two results and accesses a collection and returns a result.
All has been working perfectly until late last week (4 Oct). I made a small adjustment to a timer saved and published,, The app did not open the NFC reader on the first screen (it was just blank) then went immediately to the second screen where again it wouldn't open the reader. Then it just stopped and waited.
I returned the timer value to it's original value and published. Didn't work. I tried different phones, Apple and Android, no good.
I closed the app and opened a previous version on my IPhone, it worked perfectly. I then opened the previous version in PowerApps and published it. After that the previous version failed.
All of my versions, saved during development, work before re-publishing and fail afterwards.

I'm sorry for the long winded post but I am at a loss as to what is happening?

I had exactly the same issue and was going crazy, because it all works in one domain, and it doesn't work on another.
Even with the same authoring version.
    Thanks for the enlightenment!

    Thanks again to all.
I finally managed to get my apps using readNFC working by selecting an older version, making a small change, saving it then publishing.
If I change to another saved example of the app, I have to go through the process again.
If I shut down power apps then restart I have to go through the process again.
I cannot save the older version (where readNFC works) as the version in use every start.
Anyway, thanks again and I hope Microsoft Power Apps advises us when the problem is solved.

See attached picture. Support guided me to revert back to an older version.

I have tried using older versions as suggested here but still have the same problem.
I open an older version of the canvas app on my IPhone. It works fine. the NFC scanner opens
I save this app under a different name.
I publish the newer copy of the working app.
I open the newer version of the app and the NFC reader fails.

I have used multiple versions of Power Apps but all still fail.

Thanks for all the suggestions and I'm glad they work for some.

Ok so Microsoft know about the issue and working to fix it.
I reverted back to an older version of Power Apps and then it works fine.

    Same issue here.
A small thing that you can change to make it work again is to select an older version of power apps.
Inside your canvas app you can go to settings => support => Authoring version (Edit) and select an older version until this issue has been resolved.
