"FAILURE: The holding solution and target must both be managed for upgrade." when importing unmanaged solution

Hi,

I used to import successfully an unmanaged solution from one CDS environment to another one so that my unmanaged solution remains synchronised in both environments.

However very recently after performing the import, I got this error message :

"Solution manifest import: FAILURE: The holding solution and target must both be managed for upgrade."

What does this error really mean ?

    Hi @Arioule,

It seems like you have unmanaged and managed solutions in the target environment, is that the case? Also, is anyone making further changes directly in the target environment? Make sure that whenever you import a new version of the solution to the target environment that you use the same solution and increase the version and it is important that you do not remove previous components unless you explicitly want to delete those in the target environment (like an old field).

    Thanks
