CheckBox check Showing on Sharepoint list but not on the custom form.

I created a custom form from a SharePoint List the original had yes/no toggle. In power app I deleted the toggle control and replaced it with a checkbox control. After I create a new item the checkmark on the list shows up but does not show when i open the list item to edit. Do I need to patch something or look for a setting.

-Make sure the Checkbox (e.g., chkApproved) is inside the DataCard for the Yes/No field (e.g., Approved).
- Set the Checkbox's Default to: Parent.Default → this ensures it reflects the existing value when editing.
- Set the DataCard's Update property to: chkApproved.Value → this ensures the value is saved correctly on submit.
- These two settings ensure your custom Checkbox properly binds to the SharePoint Yes/No column for both new and edit forms.
- No Patch() is needed if you're using SubmitForm(Form1), unless you're doing a custom save.
- After setting this up, test the behavior by creating a new item and then editing it to confirm the checkbox reflects the saved state.

@Trout19 Hi,

Please make sure the controls is still in power apps, then publish it. then back to SharePoint. and refresh the page.
