I am trying Microsoft Copilot studio for the first time, and the generative AI aspect is not available for my environment. I am following this thread of docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/nlu-boost-conversations
The default environment in Copilot Studio is MS Personal Productivity which seems to have CSEO UltraLow DLP policy. Seems like this means the admin has turned off all the functionality that I want to use in Microsoft Copilot, relegating me to just manually creating if/else trees to answer queries. This takes too much time.
I see there are many other environments to choose from, all of them I do not know what they are for or if I have access to them.
Please tell me how to either create an environment that will let me use the Generative AI functionality, or which environment I should use to do so.
Or do I need to contact an admin somewhere to give me access to this functionality?
I don't intend to push any of these copilots I make to prod at this time.
I am operating in East US, so I don't think those links are relevant to me.
I guess I am using the default out of the box Copilot Studio, but I want more than that.
How can I use the Azure OpenAI version of Copilot Studio then? Something that lets me use the really useful parts of Copilot Studio like Generative AI?
Good morning,
I hope you are having a lovely day. Here are a few things to look out for :
- Geographic zone of environment / accept to move data accross zones : https://microsoftcopilotstudio.microsoft.com/en-gb/blog/microsoft-copilot-studio-expands-region-availability-for-generative-ai/
- Authorization to move data accross regions : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/manage-data-movement-outside-us
- If you are not using Azure OpenAI but the "out-of-the-box" features of copilot studio, that should be all there is.
Hope it helps 🙂
