I am trying to submit a approval flow through PowerApp. the Flow runs fine but its setting up the variables within the PowerApp i am having the issue.
the formula i have set up is ONSELECT : 'Sendapprovalandfollowupviaemail-3'.Run(Office365Users.Manager(MyUserId),MyUserId)
But obviously that doesnt work. would would be the first variable to email the manager?
Hi @Anonymous,
First, please tell us what parameters that you get from PowerApps to Flow. Are these 2 parameters in To(manager email) and Subject(MyUserId) in action "Send an email"?
If so, notice that to get the user's manager's email address, you need to use:
Office365Users.Manager(TexInput1.Text).Mail
In TextInput1 control, type or paste an email address of a user in your organization. For example, type in yourName@yourCompany.com.
By MyUserId, if you mean the user Id of current user, please use:
Office365Users.MyProfile().Id
And of course, manager's email could then be:
Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.MyProfile().Mail).Mail
Complete formula should be:
'Sendapprovalandfollowupviaemail-3'.Run(Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.MyProfile().Mail).Mail,Office365Users.MyProfile().Id)
Regards,
Mona
