Adding Dataverse to Copilot Studio as knowledge

Hi Team,

I have created a Copilot, and adding Dataverse as knowledge with manually authentication.

But when I ask a question in copilot, it doesn't response anything.

The log in was successfully configured.

I searched the internet, it saying ff add Dataverse as knowledge in Copilot, the authentication only work with [Authenticate with Microsoft],

but in MS official site, Dataverse seems also work with [Authenticate Manually], can anyone help me clarify this?

Hi YD-10050155-0 ,

Dataverse Knowledge source can still work with Authenticate Manually. I have tried it many times.

Please make sure the Manual Authentication is configured as expected.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have configured the settings as your below link.

But when I test my copilot, it didn't response as expected.

I think we may miss some settings for the scope.

Because MS official site saying the scope should be as the following.

profile openid Sites.Read.All Files.Read.All https://myorg123.com/user_impersonation

Hi YD-10050155-0,

Can you try rephrasing the question a little bit to verify it is works fine

For Eg: You can ask field specific question like "what is the country or the account ABC?".

1. When including the dataverse tables into Knowledge source, make sure you provide proper Synonyms to every fields so that LLM can understand more on how to respond to the fields.

2. Also can you Preview the knowledge source and make sure you are properly connected to dataverse.

3. If Generative mode is enabled, then you can check the Conversational mapping to understand if the response is failing.
