Cannot Enable Column Security (Greyed Out)

Hello,

I am having a hard time configuring user roles and column security for my table. When I try to enable column security on most fields, it will not allow me - the option is completely greyed out. I have configured the column security profiles, users, roles, etc.

Is there a reason I cannot choose this? It is happening on most fields, which are mostly regular text fields (single line of text).

Thank you!

I have the same question (1)

    Hi @DA_SCC ,

Are these custom tables?  Please see the following (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/field-security-entities#which-attributes-can-be-secured) where you can go use the following to check table definitions in your environment:  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/browse-your-metadata

    Hi @DA_SCC

I read the solution of @dpoggemann but what did you do to enable the greyed out columns for column security?

    Thanks,

    Roland

I have the exact same issue, it seems to be pretty random and only with certain columns of different datatypes (choice, text, whole number). Anyone managed to have this issue fixed?

Looks like to enable Column level Security you must enable it when you first create the Column.
