Hello,
In SPO, I have setup a site page named Products. On this page, I would like the user to be able to filter all content based on the product (still working on this solution; believe it will be through metadata filtering).
In PowerApps, I have created a Product app that has a product page that pulls from my Product SPO list.
My question is, Is there a way to add the app so that it sync with the product site page in the context of the current filter of the site page. In other words, if the user is filtered on the product "X500 Watch", and all web parts on then filtered on X500 watch, is there a way I can have the app dynamically filter as well without the user having to manually go the product in the app itself?
Hi @Anonymous,
Interesting scenario, but I think that is not possible at the moment.
There is a way to deep link into a canvas app, but that means that you construct a url that will get you to a certain screen inside an app that will let you open the app in a new browser tab. You can find a blog about this scenario here: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powerapps-deep-linking/
The PowerApps webpart does not work with such a constructed url.
You can allso add a PowerApp to a SharePoint page using the embed webpart by constructing an iframe URI (see https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/embed-an-app/). I am not sure if it is in any way possible to construct the the URI such a way that it uses information directly from the page.
Maybe you can post this as an idea on the Idea forum? https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas
