Canvas App Lookup Fields - Network error when using Patch function:  Field 'Title' is required.

I have a canvas app that uses a Sharepoint list.  The Sharepoint list contains a main numeric field -  and three lookup fields populated by this numeric field and sourced from a second lookup list.  This main numeric field allows multiple selections, so the three lookup fields can populate more values if multiple selections are made.
I have made the  Title field optional and hidden in the main list settings.

(I have also hidden the lookup fields which populate based on the numeric lookup - on my new item form, using a function on each of those fields, which are not required for new item entry, I believe)

When I populate the fields and save the new item form, the record doesn't go into my Sharepoint ist.
I get the message   " Network error when using Patch function:  Field 'Title' is required."
but, the title field inside my Sharepoint  list is hidden and set to optional.

I don't see any Title field on my PowerApp new item or record detail Form.

What can I adjust to fix this issue with saving the record?
Do I need a patch function to go with my

SubmitForm(Form1)  on the SubmitFormButton1 ?

Has anyone done an example like this - Sharepoint list contains a main field that allows multiple selections, then one or more lookup fields based on that main field?  How do I make the entry form work from a Power App?

Thank you
