Building copilots directly in SharePoint will be very useful in some of our sites, but PLEASE tell us we can control this from the Admin Center (only make it available on certain sites). This will be a showstopper for us - if we can't control site by site then we will need to (unfortunately) disable across the entire tenant (assuming that's possible). If neither of these options are available, then that's a major concern.
We have almost 100k SharePoint sites and if we can't control this centrally, we will end up with way too many badly built or abandoned copilots and no governance (owners moving roles, leaving the company, etc.). We need to ensure all of our users that are building copilots would have some minimum level of training first (as we do with the Power Platform) and that we have governance in place before we enable for any of our sites.
Also, if we enable copilot for a specific site (from the admin center) - there needs to be an option for the owner to determine who can create copilots on the site and not just ALL users with Edit rights. If the owner's only choice is that once it's enabled, ALL members can start creating copilots, then that's another blocker for us. As an owner, they should be able to have control of what happens in their site. Note that a lot of our sites have hundreds of members with Edit rights, and we absolutely don't want all of them to start creating copilots - it would be anarchy.
I feel like a lot of fundamental design decisions are not well thought out before releasing some of these features - especially for large companies. Hopefully, I'm wrong here and we can control access to sites/specific users.
