Canvas App Fails to Open in Both Edit and Play Mode

Hi everyone,

I noticed that there are two published live versions of my canvas app.


I believe this is not an abnormal behavior in Power Apps, but rather a UI confusion. However, this issue has negatively affected my canvas app. Currently, I can’t open the app in either edit or play mode.

I have also added a screenshot showing the error when I try to open the app in edit mode and play mode.

Additionally, I have tried multiple ways to open the canvas app:


  • Opening it from within a solution,

  • Opening it via Admin Center → Resources → Power Apps,

  • Reverting to previous versions,

  • Using Live Monitor (everything appears normal; collections load and no issues are shown),

  • Exporting the solution and importing it into a different environment

Unfortunately, none of these attempts resolved the issue

 

I would really appreciate any help with this issue.

    Does your app use containers?  I've seen reports that there are issues opening some apps that use containers under build Version 3.25123 of Power Apps. MS is currently working on a fix, but I haven't seen an ETA for when it might be put into production. The current workaround is to open a previous version of the app from the details list.

    Yes, my canvas app uses containers and components (which I created myself and do not include any custom components from a solution).

    I hope this is the case you mentioned, as my users are currently being severely affected by this malfunction.

    How can I find the report you mentioned? I really need to know the exact date for when this issue might be resolved, or at least be able to follow up on the topic.

    This was in a conversation with a friend who has reported the same experience. He had created a support request.  I'm not aware of any public statement on this at this point and as I said I haven't heard an ETA on a fix, but it is currently being worked on.  Did you try opening a previous version that uses a different Power Apps Build?

    Yes, rolling back to a previous build version (3.25123) works as expected.

    Plase can you update me regarding this issue that you can share in this topic?
    I intend to follow up here, if it possible?

    Just heard that a hotfix was deployed today that should solve the problem.  Create a new app and look for Power Apps build 3.25123.11.  When you see that the hotfix has reached your region.
