Moving PowerApps data sources (SharePoint List) from one SharePoint site to another SharePoint site under the same account

Hi Everyone

Currently we want to move our PowerApps data source (SharePoint Lists) from one SharePoint site to another SharePoint site under the same account without losing the existing data in the SharePoint Lists.

We want to know the best option that is available for us to do this.

Many Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

John

    Hi @Jianwei ,

I have not tried this with a lot of data, but it works on small lists.

    • Save the list as a template (in List Settings) and check "Include Content" - note that the template will end up in the main site if you are coming from a subsite.
    • In Site Settings (main site) under WebDesigner Galleries, choose List Templates
    • Select the list and Download a copy
    • Upload it in the same place on the new site
    • Go to Site Contents on the new site and choose New > App
    • Navigate to the end of the choices and you will see your templates
    • Choose the one you want and it should import into the new site.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

How r u? I also needed help in this topic. When you moved your list from one site to another, did it impacted your PowerApp?

    Hi @addy2019 ,

The Power App would need to be reconnected to the new copy of the list.

@WarrenBelzYou're right but does it reconnects without any issue?

I have never had any issues - the name, and field names and types line up fine.
