Hi all,

It is possible to make a subgrid that filtered with a field in the form? For example, I want the subgrid to show data from the project that the user chooses. in this case, the subgrid and the form have a same entity.

what do you mean by the Subgrid and form have the same entity? Do you mean you are creating a self reference relation?
If yes then on your subgrid properties

Please set this to only related records

Thanks for the answer! Sorry for my bad explanation. let say there is entity A. in the entity A form there are subgrid show the entity A records. I want to make the subgrid will filter by the field in the entity A (for example project). If the user chooses project X, the subgrid will show records with the field project filled with project X. maybe this explanation will make you more understand.

Can you try to Filter by the project field on Only Related Records and choose the project field.

There is no option for project in On Related Record.

Is there any relation between the form Entity and the Grid Entity , there must be a relation so that you can apply only related records with the parent.

Hi @tirrr ,

Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I think you have some misunderstanding with the usage of the Sub Grid in Entity Form.

The Sub Gird mainly is used to display related records from other Entity corresponded to current Main Entity record through the "One-to-Many" relationship.

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I guess that you do not display related Entity records within the Sub Grid, instead, you display current Entity records in this Sub Grid component, right?

If you display your current Entity records in this Sub Grid, and want to filter the record based on the column value (e.g. Project) in the Entity form, I afraid that there is no direct way to achieve your needs.

Currently, within the "Sub Grid" component, you could not specify filter condition based on the fields within the Entity this "Sub Grid" component connected to.
