Why i were asked to reconfigure environment variables when importing a managed solution

I have 2 environments:-

1) Dev
2) PROD

I usually do the following which was working well (last time i did an export/import was 3 weeks ago):-

1) Export the solution from Dev as managed solution
2) Import the solution to PROD using the Update option, as follow:-

where things will be straightforward, as all the environments variables inside the Dev, have the "Export" checkbox unchecked, so the environment variables inside the imported solution should use the setting inside PROD, without the need to reconfigure them, here is a sample of an environment variable inside Dev, where the "Export" checkbox is unchekced:-

but today i did the first export/import from 3 weeks ago , and when i import the solution inside PROD, i got that this connection need to be configured, which i usually do not receive:-

After that when i click on "Next", i were asked to reconfigure almost all the environment variables, as follow:-

so can anyone advice what is the issue? i defined the environment variables to not be used inside the solution by unchecking the "Export" checkbox inside Dev environment,
.. but why this is been ignored? and i were asked to reconfigure almost all the environment variables when importing the solution to PROD?

    Hello!

It is look like that the connection used to get access to site or list in sharepoint doesn't have access to the to the sites. So you need to update the value.

I am using the sharepoint admin, so it has full control,, but the problem the lists GUIDs been shown inside the import wizard on PROD, are related to the ones inside the Dev/Test and not inside the PROD!!! so i need to reconfigure them, since they do not belong to the PROD site..

i think the error is miss-leading, as it is trying to get lists that do not belong to the PROD site, they are for the Dev/Test site

I think part of the issue, is that the "Export" checkbox on the environment variables on Dev when unchecked will still save the Default value of the environment variable inside the exported solution.. now even if i remove the Default value of the environment variable for a sharepoint list >> and i do an export from Dev,, the list inside the import wizard on PROD will be empty instead of showing an error.. but still i will need to populated the empty value... seems the export/import is having recent changes and it is becoming buggy !!!!
