What are the most effective strategies for establishing a consistent and reusable design system in a large Canvas App, especially when multiple team members are involved in development?

While there are some generic patterns and thoughts on the Microsoft "Best Practices", I believe the question is more, how do I do this with multiple simultaneous people.

This is not one that really has a great amount of details on. Why? Because before it was pretty much a beta GIT attempt which many people did use to allow multiple people, but it was not an ALM by any means.

Then when the multi-user stuff came out.. its still pretty new and I haven't seen anything related to real suggestions on how to do this. I'm sure over time we will piece stuff together, but right now, I believe its pretty much, ask everyone to follow the same Microsoft design patterns for Canvas Apps and pray people do.

I would also suggest some Code/Ux Reviews during some projects so that you can define what works best for you guys.

It may also be more effective to create several different apps rather than one large app and design them in a functional manner. e.g. apps designed for each job function.
It is still difficult to manage apps being updated by several different programmers and code sharing is still not as easy as it should be.

Thank you for your response , to clarify my question more clearly:

In typical development environments (such as front-end or web development), we often rely on:

    • Shared UI frameworks or component libraries (e.g., Material UI or Bootstrap)

    • Design systems in Figma that developers align with for consistent UI and UX

    •

I’m interested in understanding what possibilities exist in Power Apps Canvas Apps to implement similar design system principles and ensure UI consistency across teams and applications.

We cannot get into the direct comparison of Pro Code Vs Power Apps.

Power-apps offers you the facility of Classic Control vs Modern (Enhanced U/UXI ) controls with that you can develop the screen components accordingly.

However if you looking more custom based component using PCF (Component Framework) you can develop the own control and deploy it to the environment and it can be used in the application.

    Modern Controls
