Created a Time off Request app on PowerApps and need to input restrictions so only users can only change their information and can not edit any other employees details.

On the app, it brings up a list of employees and the employee will select their name and it will then take them to a screen with all their details and from there they can click the edit button and it allows them to edit their time off etc. At the moment all employees can access everyone's information and edit it but I need help on putting permissions in place so that only the employee can edit their own details and no one else's.

Regards,

Brett Fine

    Hi @Anonymous

    You can put the condition on the visible property of the button

    If ( user().email = item.emailid ) then  make the visible true

    Or you can also apply a condition in the gallery so that user can see only his item.

    Please watch the below video for more information.

    You can use display functionality as view if,

    User().email or User(). Fullname doesnt match with the gallery item.

    Guve a thumbs up,if it ll solve your query. If not please share details.

    Hope you are gathering the employee email id or name or display name  for display.

    Hi,

    I have made the list on SharePoint that connects with the PowerApps and created all the items. I just need the user to only be able to see their name and details and not be able to edit anyone else's.

    Regards,

    Brett
