Copilot Studio Agent MCP Server Environment Error

We're having issues with an agent using an MCP server. The agent is deployed into a managed production environment. It's shared with all employees via Copilot Studio under manage sharing and published to M365 Copilot and Teams. Access to the agent works via Teams and Copilot, connection manager is where it fails, error message below. Additionally, we allowed the MCP server via the Advanced connector policies.

Do we need to add all employees to the environment and grant basic user role access?

Hi @EZ-17122359-0

yes the users have to actually be users in that environment with a license and at least Basic User. You may need other permissions based on what your agent does (connections etc) and making sure there are no DLP policies or security groups to add them too.

totally good answer from previous one, just to add, each environnement as often a security group associated, just add people inside it :)

Hi @Michael E. Gernaey thanks for the quick reply! I did confirm that basic user permission is required. I forgot to mention we've added an all-employee security group to the environment. What is the best way to bulk add all employees from the security group to the environment with the basic user role?
