SQL connection showing in App with no reference

In my developer environment I have a SQL connection that is read only.   I must have inadvertently deleted the connection from my environment when doing some cleanup.  I was getting errors saying the connection was missing so I went back into the app and tried to fix each of the connection.  It appears to work, but when I save and edit again, the error reappears.  I then removed all references to any SQL connection from the app and saved.  When I try and edit the app, I still receive the message that the connection is not there.

When I click on the red circle it says, "The connection owner must share the connection with you".  I am the owner.   Anyway, my question is, how can you remove what appears to be a connection in the app where there are no data connections showing inside the app?

I have the same question (0)

Are you saying you removed all data sources from the app?

It's that or if you have a Flow connected to your app that has connections.

The other thing to do is go to the Connections Tab and see if you see any connections there of that Type. if so delete them (or) go to each one and verify what
Apps and Flows are dependent on it.

This will help you clean it up and also verify what is being dependent on it.

Also and lastly, after you removed it, did you remember to Publish all customizations so it would remove any references or did you just delete it?

Are you also remembering to publish your app?

the most important thing above is not simply publishing, but also doing a dependency check on the App (which should show you all Connections or Connection References) as well as looking at each Connection and verifying what it thinks wants it.

    Cheers

Did you try running app checker?

Thanks for the reply.  I've done the following

    1.  I removed the two flows from the app
    2.  I went to the connections tab and did not see any SQL connectors

I'm not sure I know what you mean by customizations.  I did save and publish the app with no errors.

I have this app in a solution and it shows the connection reference in the there with a link to a shared connection.  I tried editing the connection reference in the soluction to link it to a new connection.  I create a new connection and refresh but it keeps the old connection.

I just can't figure out where the connection is when I have removed all of the SQL connections from the app and all the flows, then save and publish, then when I go back in to edit it says there is a SQL Connections that needs to be fixed.  If I run the app it says failed to load because it needs that connection.

Can you try something for me. So just saying this for my own self but a Flow action can either be linked to a Connection or a connection reference.

I find that many times if I accidentally "think" I deleted a connection but I still had references it can cause issues.

    1) you can do one more check and its just for... sanity
    Go to Solutions
    open Default Solution
look at connections and make sure you see nothing

    2) I promise, there is a SQL action that thinks its still there. you have to make sure be suuuupppeerrr careful that you open every single action. I miss them all the time no matter what I think

    3) Go through and in the first action create a New connection. Then save and close the flow
    4) go back to your solution and create a new Connection reference pointing to the connection you created from that action(not outside of it).
    5) save and publish
    6) go back to your flow and now re-establish them all to use the new connection reference.

You have to make sure you are not just publishing your app, but (and don't do t his from the Solution, regardless of what it says), go to the Solutions tab, select nothing select Publish all Customizations.

If you didnt do this before, thats the issue.

If you did, try following my steps and doing it again.

Come back if it doesn't work. I promise its there somewhere.. even if you dont see it and it could just be metadata stuck hence the steps I am asking you to do
