Modern Control - Dropdown Empty

Hi,

I have a Power App form that is connected to a SharePoint list. I am trying to use a modern control dropdown.  (contents = High, Medium and Low)

When I play the form, the drop down is empty.  It is connected to the data source being the SharePoint list.

Help please.

What field is the dropdown control connected to? You can check the items property of the control to see and manage the data that is being rendered in the control.

I've set the drop down Items value to the SharePoint list field with the values. They just don't display on the form...

Can you advise what values you are referencing the choices to?

Is it person, items, choice, lookup or something else?

If you could provide the formula in from the app and the choice configuration of the sharepoint list, it would be easier.

For choices, it should be easier with the following formula:

    Choices([@'listname'].columnname)

Hi there, Here are the steps I took.

I replaced my classic drop down with a modern drop down in the Power Apps form.

I didn't connect to a data source like you said for the dropdown.

I entered the Items property information.

    (See screenshot 1)

    I play the app.

The drop downs display their values. Yay! (see screenshot 2)

I hit the submit button and all is well.

I go to the SharePoint list and only the title comes across from the Power App form. (screenshot 3)

@nic182 Please select the card that you have shown in the screenshot and check the Update property of the card.

In my instance, the update property is:

    DataCardValue23.Selected

DataCardValue23 is the dropdown control that I have used for the choice.

    Cheers!

    @narayan225 I have done that also.  System_DataCardValue.Selected

System_DataCardValue is the dropdown control that I have used.

@nic182 You can try using patch. Use patch function to post the data.

    Patch('listname', LookUp('listname', id = gallery.selected.ID), {choicecolumn:{Value:"choicevalue"}})

You can also try patchif condition if you need to update only if there is a value.

    Cheers!
