How to add attachments to a Dataverse Table?

WebPortal_0-1684256439136.png

I can edit any field except the attachments. Nothing happens, when clicking on the "Anexos" column.

On Power Automate, there's no way to edit this field either.

Am I missing something??

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @WebPortal,

To add an attachment to a Dataverse table, you can use the classic dynamic 365.

Or you could go to Settings>Advanced settings>Dynamic 365>

You need to look for your table name where you have the attachment column, then you could see your attachment column, click it and you could find the delete/add button.

You can just make a form with the attachment field and when you open the form it will allow you to upload a selected file.

Yeah MS are stupid enough to not allow you to upload a file from grid

    @v-qiaqi-msft

Thank you, but that solution does not work. It only shows the ID and "Created" columns. Not the attachments. And it is an awful amount of work, if all you want it to upload a file or see what file is in there! It is hard to believe that this is a Premium connector for Power Apps and Power Automate.

    Hi @WebPortal

I have reproduced your issue on my side, please check the following steps:

1). Do add your File field to your form

    vqiaqimsft_0-1684316288241.png

2). Save and publish the form including the File field.

3). Here is the File field works in the Dataverse table, you need to create the record at the very beginning and then you could upload a file to this existing record.vqiaqimsft_1-1684316555528.png

4). If you want to upload the file when you create the record, please submit an idea here:

I found out I had to create a model driven app to interact with the data in Dataverse.

It's not possible, it seems, to edit the attachments without this kind of app.

It works well, although it's a lot of work. It would be better to edit these directly from the grid.

    Thank you.

The grid you looking at are the ‘back end" of the database, it's not suppose to be used as a day to day interface.

You need a model driven app to work with your data, as a "front end".

I do agree that if you can just have a database and a relational grind, we won't even need model driven app anymore, but this is Microsoft, you cant fix it
