Accessing .txt file attached by user in Copilot Studio

Hi,

Is it possible to access the content of a .txt file attached by the user? I know how I can access the content of a .PDF file using a Custom prompt node inside a topic, but not .txt. The Custom prompt node's document input only accepts .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, and .PDF files. The user can still upload a .txt file, so I'm guessing there must be a way.

Is the problem specifically that you cannot actually grab the text file itself, or get the content out of it? I ask because one way is to get the file, send it to a Power Automate Flow (or Agent flow) and convert it into a format that you can then use. I just don't know what you are going to use it for, so I am not sure how to specifically give you the steps to do it.

Can you provide just a little more detail on what you plan do with the content so I can better answer.

    Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response. The problem is getting the content out of the text file.

I'm testing if I can create an agent that will help with code reviews. So the following is how I would like it to work:

    1. User uploads a code file in .txt.
    2. The agent will extract the code from the .txt file and do something based on it.
    3. The agent will output a message and possibly a .txt file.

    Thank you

I just noticed - I accidentally logged in with another account than when asking the question. But I am the original poster.
