I want to export the data from my Dataverse in Power apps to Excel with Power automate.
Kindly guide me for the same.
I don't know what command to use for export.
The export will trigger when it we click export icon.
Hello,
Why do you need Power Automate when the "Export" functionality in Dataverse allows the export of the data to Excel? Just use it.
Actually I dont have any premium licence of power apps , so I tried to do this. Can we have another option???
I mean open Dataverse itself, navigate to corresponding entity, and click the "Export to Excel" button at the very top:
Hi @AdityaRana
If you are using Power Automate, you would still need a Power Automate Premium license to connect to the Dataverse and extract information to Excel or other output data source. If you want to do through Power Automate there is a connector for Dataverse (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/commondataserviceforapps/). The user that you are executing the Power Automate flow under will need an appropriate role setup in Dataverse to extract the data from the specified tables.
Hello @AdityaRana What is your requirement? Is this a one time export or you need this data to be exported to excel at a regular basis for some other integration? Or do you want a button on your canvas app to export to excel? If its a one time export, refer to the answer provided by @a33ik that will be the most easiest thing to do, if you dont see the UI he has shown in his answer, its because he is viewing this from a model driven app, if you have a canvas app this might not be there for you, however you can easily build a model driven app with the same table in maker portal and then you will see the button which a33ik is referring to once you open the model driven app and table. If this is needed as a regular export, power automate if you have the needed license might work, however I would recommend to look at something like data factory or SSIS for more robustness and granular control. If you need a button on canvas app to export data to excel, refer to the post belowhttps://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Export-data-from-PowerApps-into-Excel-or-PDF/td-p/610694 I have not tried this myself, but its marked as solved.
