View Column Formulas Previously Created

I am VERY new to Dataverse (like 1 day into it new). I have an app that references tables.  It was created back in 2021.  I didn't create it, but I am trying to work with it.  It has a couple of columns that are obviously using formulas to create numbers; however, I can't figure out where I can see the formulas.  It doesn't work like Sharepoint Lists, where I could look at List settings, or Excel, where I could view the formula in a formula bar.  The images below explain what I see.

The Customer Number Column results in an automatically incrementing number that raises by one each time a new row is added.

I think the column was set up using a formula because the Data Type seems to have been determined by creating a formula since it is not editable.

I just need to see the formula that was used to create the column.  Is this possible?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think they have implemented auto numbering for this column and we have multiple ways to implement this. Maybe there is a custom code which is triggered on create the records and set the numbering. Another way is using XRM tool box for auto numbering and using the Power Platform auto number feature.

Yeah it doesn't seem like its a formula field. A formula field lets you edit the formula.

Data type isn't editable when editing any field anyways. Like ankit mentioned, it does seem like some sort of custom solution to autonumber the field.

@bscarlavai33 @ankit_signhalbscarlavai33 ankit_singhal You guys are correct, it was an auto number column!

That being said, is there a way to see formulas in other columns? I have a column 'Number' that is inserting a customer number (probably from a lookup column to another table), adding a dash, taking the current year (I assume from the Created On column, and then auto numbering up to 100.  Each time a job is added in the associated app, a job number is assigned based on this column's formula.  The column looks like this.  When I try to edit the column, which I know now that I can't do thanks to you guys, it shows the second picture below.  If I could figure out this formula, it would make my life much easier.  Any suggestions would be awesome!

    etc.

    HI

If a column has a function you will see it, plain and simple, as the function type will be there and the formula will be there right in front of your eyes.
. If not, you see the data type.

So if they aren't using an AutoNum format, and if they aren't using a function, then that means they have either a power automate running on create to make the number, or they have a plugin that does it, or the code that inserts it does it. But you won't see that from the table view, you have to go look at the Code that is Patching the row in the code.

Open the app and search for all instances of Patch or Submit, one of them is being used to create the records, unless its a Model driven, which will be different, and you don't say.

If its a Canvas App, then open it and do what I said searching. If its NOT then look to see if you have an plugins anywhere etc.

Its there (the thing doing it), but need more information to tell you exactly so I gave you the steps to find it above.
