Hello,

i have this situation: i had an old power app environment called APP123.CRMXXX.DYNAMICS.COM with a specific app shared with users.

As this app was not designed well enough we decided to develop a brand new app in a new environment. We tested and everything worked perfectly so we decided to switch the URL of the environment (APP123.CRMXXX.DYNAMICS.COM) deleting for old environment and setting it in the new environment so we thought that it would have been invisible for users.

Problem is that all users have bookmarked the old url with the APP ID inside, which of course points to the old APP ID of the old environment, and so now they see "Record Is Unavailable" error page.

Is there a way to set an automatic redirect to the new app id, i.e. redirect users from old app id to the new app id?

Thank you everyone for any help, it's quite urgent and we are evaluating what to do.

hey

do you still have access to the old app or was it deleted completly? if second is true there i no way to redirect. if the app is still accessable you could modify the app and put a text that says launch new app (or so) and a button that has the Launch(newapp) function.

if its not possible the only way would be to inform all employees to use the new app and that the old one is not valid anymore.

Old environment and old old app are still up and running.

But your solution is not feasible as all the users already have the original URL i've created

APP123.CRMXX.DYNAMICS.COM

... URL that now i've assigned to the new environment.

Users have bookmarked the URL but it points to the APP ID of the old environment - the old environment is NOW renamed:

APP123-OLD.CRMXX.DYNAMICS.COM.

As all bookmarks are set as:

https:// APP123.CRMXX.DYNAMICS.COM / main.aspx?appid={GUID}

unfortunately the users have in their bookmark the old app GUID, so that the system cannot find the old APP ID in the new environment. So i'm wondering if i can set an automatic redirection from the error page which is displayed now to the users so that if they cannot reach the APP id they are automatically redirected to the new app id.

I hope I explained it decently :D
