Hi there,
We have 2 solutions
(a) one solution has Data verse and an Model Driven App
(b) one solution has a Model Driven App.
If i create a form in (a) it will create a table (for the form) -> and then a form in the solution
the form then will be copied in the same position in (b) - makes sense (as its pretty much the same thing)
if we migrate (b) to TEST as a managed solution using ALM - then for the form has layers on it from solution a and b and if the form is an older version in soltuion (a) for example then the form in soltuion b will be an older version becasue of the layers.
If I migrate it manually via import / export process and use the upgrade - then it will remove the stuff in b that is not required for the migration so therefore it will remove the form in the solution and no layering will take place.
Need urgent advice on this problem please - I have been looking at diffXml on the formxml but this is not making much sense either.
Many thanks
@boris2 the short answer to this is don't include your form in both solutions to avoid multiple layers.
Is there any real reason why you have separated your customisations out into 2 different solutions? If you don't have many customisations then the simplest approach is to have a single solution containing your customisations
