Hi. is it possible embedding the online Currency Exchange rate to CDS? In Excel, you can connect to websites like xe.com and get the current exchange rates to the excel workbook so a user would refresh the data and get the up-to-date values. If this is possible in CDS, please advise A to Z how..
Thanks
Hi @Yahya ,

You can set up a Flow to connect to an online api (floatrates.com in the example below) and do regular imports of all currencies set up in D365. There's an example here that I used as a baseline and modified a bit. Please note that you should be using the Common Data Service connector instead of the Dynamics 365 connector in the example:

At this time there is no automated way to populate exchange rates into CDS. However, you could use Automate (formerly Flow) to retrieve data from the exchange rate source using a connector. You will also need to Automate the copying of necessary data into existing TransactionCurrency records.
Depending the schema from the exchange rate source, you should be able to match the source ISO Currency Code to the TransactionCurrency currency code to find the correct record and then update the ExchangeRate value to the value provided.
