Power Apps Snowflake Connector Error: Resource not found

(3) ShareShare

Hi,

I have been trying to connect snowflake into my power apps. I have set up the snowflake connection as below and there's nothing issue with it. But when I want to connect it to my apps (either through dataverse or power apps data itself), both are giving me error Resource not found.

Can someone please help me please? Or does snowflake connector is actually not ready for use yet? But it's been in preview for years so what could be the issue??

Thanks!

    To connect Snowflake to Power Apps successfully, several aspects need to be verified to ensure everything is set up correctly. Here’s a general guide to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue based on your description:

    1. Check Connection Configuration:

      • Confirm that the Snowflake connection details (like account name, username, password, and warehouse) are correct.

      • Ensure the Snowflake user has the necessary permissions to access the database, schemas, and tables you want to use in Power Apps.

      •
    2. Verify Data Source in Power Apps:

      • Make sure you have added the Snowflake data source in your Power Apps application correctly.

      • Go to the "Data" section on the left panel in Power Apps and double-check if the Snowflake connection appears there and is authenticated

    3. Use the Correct Integration Method:

      • Determine if you are trying to access Snowflake data through Dataverse or directly through Power Apps. If using Dataverse, ensure that the necessary tables/entities are synchronized correctly with Dataverse

    4. Check Resource Configuration:

      • The "Resource not found" error could imply that either the database name, schema, or table you are targeting does not exist or is misconfigured. Double-check the schema and table names.

      •

    5. Inspect App Permissions:

      • Ensure that the app has the required permissions and the Snowflake connection is set up in an environment where the app can access it.

    6. Error Message Details:

      • Review the specific error messages received when trying to connect. Sometimes, they can provide additional context like which resource is not found.
      •
    7. Run a Test Query:

      • If possible, try running a simple query in Snowflake directly or through a different reporting tool to confirm that the connection works independently of Power Apps.

    8.

    If after checking these steps the issue persists, providing the exact error messages received would help to conduct a more targeted troubleshooting process. Let me know if you need translation or further assistance with any of these steps!

    Hi @AA-06020719-0,
    According to this Microsoft Doc Snowflake - Connectors | Microsoft Learn, that is expected error .
    one easy way which worked for me, I used flows and Snowflake (JS Store Procs) to get and edit data in snowflake tables and use it whenever I required.

    and I must say, that was very good approach compared to Virtual Tables (which didnt support most of the Power Fx formulas).

    Please give the mentioned solution a try and let me know whether it works for you.

    I am also facing this issue since last 1 month.
    I have a snowflake connection with Microsoft delegated OAuth setup in PowerApps, not a Microsoft Entra ID Auth (which only has dedicated database, Schema, role & Warehouse), but when i tried to add Microsoft Entra ID authentication type, I got the below error logs and not even connected.

    {
      "error": {
        "code": 500,
        "source": "default-d483ed84-f7bf-4078-a58f-fb250feccf8f.15.common.usa.azure-apihub.net",
        "message": "BadGateway",
        "innerError": {
          "message": "Connection creation failed. Snowflake Error: Bearer token is missing in the HTTP request authorization header.\r\nclientRequestId: 193539ad-7e38-48c8-a54b-fd2141298fbd-self",
          "status": 500,
          "error": {
            "message": "Connection creation failed. Snowflake Error: Bearer token is missing in the HTTP request authorization header."
          },
          "source": "snowflakev2-ncus.azconn-ncus-001.p.azurewebsites.net"
        }
      }
    }

    Also, I am trying to connect the established snowflake connection (Delegated Oauth type) and getting the same error message as this post when Add Data.

    We have cross checked all the possible ways to find out what missing from our end and involved MS team as well, but no luck till now.
    Please help us to solve this issue.
