I have some simple data flows I'm experimenting with.....

Publishing a dataflow can take several minutes so making changes is so terrible I'm giving up.

Refreshing a dataflow takes 10 minutes and then it fails.

I use power query elsewhere and it performs 100 times faster.

So a simple iteration or a change, adding a column to a table and the populating it takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Is it always this terrible? It's not worth using if it is

I published a new table.
15 minutes later, I'm still waiting for a simple dataflow publish to complete.
The last time I tried to use this it was slow, but now it's beyond that.
There must be something wrong.

I experienced the same, but it won't take this much time. But for Refreshing and throws error it will take minimum 5 min because of data.

Hope it's expected. If you have any doubts, you are good to Raise MS to get Clarity for the same.

I determined a solution to this:

If you are experimenting with new tables, always delete the table and start with a new one.
That's a lot faster than anything else.
Its still very slow. Deleting a tiny table with 40 entries can take 5 minutes or so.
But it's much faster than trying to make changes to the tables.

This entire platform is third class and useless😠.
After every few minutes, it keeps showing me a stupid wait popup while editing an app. This is seriously killing me.
