Custom security role not working properly

I have created a copy of "Environment Maker" role. When I assign the custom copy of the security role, users are not getting any privileges whereas when I assign the default "Environment Maker" role, they are getting all the privileges. I did tried making a copy of "System Customizer" role as well but the same issue. Is there anything required to make the new custom security role working?

    some ideas on that

    • which kind of security assignment did you choose (user or team) as setting in your custom role?
    • how did you assign the role to the users - directly or inherited by team membership?
    • are there other roles assigned to the users?
    • at which business unit are the users located - root or any child of it?
    • did you publish the custom role?

    The user is not getting the required access. For ex: user should be able to create canvas app with custom role as well as it's the copy of "Environment Maker" role. But when they try to create, the options are disabled and they see a message "You do not have permissions to create apps in this environment"

    Hi,

    have you any error? I have followed the same steps to create a new custom role based in other existing and I didn't have problem.
