Column Max Count

I have a dataverse with a column max count 150 in my Test and Production environment (Managed solutions). There was need to increase the Max Count of the column to 250, I increased it from 150 to 250 in the Dev Environment (unmanaged Solution) and deployed the updated solution version as a managed solution to both Test and Prod but I noticed the Max Count remained 150. I published all customizations while exporting. I have checked and there is no unmanaged solution layer sitting on top my managed solution yet i still can't get the Column count to increase to 250. Any sugestions will be much appreciated.

When looking for Solution Layers did you look on the Column in question (not just at a higher level like the Table level).

    Hi

Did this field start from this Solution or did it come from another Solution??

Yes I have tried published all customizations, it didn’t work. I already have the solution in Test and Prod, I am doing an enhancement hence the reason to increase the max count. I can uninstall and reinstall for Test but I don’t want to take that approach in Prod cause I wouldn’t want to lose the Prod data. I just need to find a way around this. It is strange I must say.

what I noticed is when I reimport the solution to Test and prod, other components of the solution (flow, connection reference etc) has “updated 2mins ago” but my Dataverse column shows “updated over a month ago” which means the change is not reflecting because the Dataverse is not updating.

    Hi

First to verify, did you remember to Publish All Customizations from the Solutions Screen (top), after the import? If not please do that and see if its resolved.

Try again, if you have and it is still the same, then there is an issue between the version you have in dev, and how its linked to the Table and what its like in Test

Also, I never ever recommend putting something in Prod until you actually verify and test it in Test, it can cause all sorts of mayhem.

Go to the Solutions screen and publish all from the menu at the top, not from the solution and not from the Export.

Then try again and see if it fixes it.

If not, delete the managed in test, or try and see if you get any dependency errors would could explain the issue.

If not, export and install again.
