Code component (PCF) control for the list on Power Pages.

Hi Team,

We have received a requirement for power pages from our customer. To fulfill this requirement, we have created a Code component (PCF) control. We have successfully added this PCF control in Model-driven app, and it is functioning as intended. Currently, we display the Account list on Power pages, and our next step is to apply the PCF control to the account list on power pages. We are following the steps provided in the Microsoft link below.

Tutorial: Use dataset code components | Microsoft Learn

We set the flag “Use a configured code component” to "true" for the account list in the Power Pages management app.

When we added the account list on Power Pages in the design studio, it displayed as shown below. However, when we access the portal, it loads the account list using the out-of-the-box (OOB) grid.

Are we missing any steps? Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a solution for it?

Note: When we added the same PCF control to the subgrid on the form, it functions correctly.

Waiting for your response.

Thanks!

    Hi @Inogic

Create the list in Portal management and try adding metadata

    Hi @Surendran_R ,

When we create a website using a template like "Customer Self-Service Portal," the PCF controls loads properly for the list. We have observed that when a website is created using a template, it generates a website record in an entity with the name “adx_website”, and it is utilized by the Portal Management app.

When we create a website from a Blank page, it generates a website record in an entity with the name "mspp_website," and it utilizes the Power Pages Management app. However, for this website, the PCF control does not function for the list; instead, it loads the OOB grid.

Just wanted to confirm if there are any settings that we might be overlooking while adding the PCF control for a list when using the Power Pages Management app.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Thanks

I have recently queried that to Microsoft directly but didn't get any response, so as of now, my assumption is that it's not supported in Power Pages.

I am using the Enhanced Data Model, so didn't try using the classic adx_. Can you confirm which one you are using?

    Hello @Inogic ,

As @OliverRodrigues mentioned earlier, the feature is currently not supported.

This morning my Portal was updated to version 9.5.10.31 and suddenly the editable list seems to be working 🙏

It seems that it doesn't support lookups, but it's a great start already, actions seems to be missing, so it might not be fully ready yet.
