Read data from environment A in environment B (both environment are on the same tenant)

Hi, I have the requirement to setup a second production environment (environment B). The second environment is necessary because it is intended for a small number of users in our organization, thus the second environment is protected by a security group.

However, operational data from environment A must be available in environment B. Read only access is enough. Is there some available Data Source implementation which can be used to access entities from one environment in another?

EDIT: This exists: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/dynamics-365/mscrm.connector_provider which is basically a virtual connector. Here is the description: Create virtual tables using virtual connectors (Microsoft Dataverse) - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

How could that work with another Dataverse environment.

    Thank you, @rampprakash.

The linked article is about on-prem Dynamics, and it does not contain information about how to connect from one environment to another. Create and edit virtual tables with Microsoft Dataverse - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs is for Dataverse, but it also does not explain how to read data from another environment.

    Hello @kv

Hope you are doing good. As you edited, you can use VIRTUAL entity to show the data from ENV A to ENV B. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/create-edit-virtual-entities?view=op-9-1

    Suggestion:

As you want to only show Data, Create a SECURITY ROLE with Whole READ ONLY access and Provide the same to user. So that the user can login with same environment with Only Read Access.

Let me know if you need more help
