Power Apps Editor Mode taking too long and crashing to add/change elements

Hey,

There's an application on power apps that runs smoothly on all environments (DEV/UAT/PROD), the issue lies within the power apps editor mode. In the past couple of days, it's been taking way too long to add new controls of any kind and renaming controls. It usually keeps crashing the browser till it makes the changes.

On my research, I found out that Power Apps has a limit of 300 controls on each screen, but each of my screens reach 100 controls max.

Any tips on how to improve performance on editor mode specifically?

Thanks in advance for any response!

Update:

After looking at the task manager, my RAM was around 60 - 70% while working on power apps with 10 - 12 tabs open on MS Edge.

I did some testing:
  1. I tried to edit the app on an anonymous tab and one without any extensions, but there was no gain in performance.
  2. I created a copy of the app and started to delete the heavier screens entirely, but it didn't have any effect as well.
  3. I deleted the API connector that we use the most, and still no increase in performance.
The team is currently checking the environment capacity. I don't know if this could have influence over performance on editor mode though.

you might need a powerful workstation, it will use lots of RAM I think.
    48-64GB at least.

Apart from the overall RAM already mentioned, also try another browser (Edge and Chrome may act differently) and also if Incognito Mode helps (although probably not a long-term fix).

If you are using a PC, open Task Manager and look at the Microsoft Edge processes or Chrome processes (whichever browser you are using). That will tell you if memory is the problem or if it is some other computer issue.
