Create a Collection using Display Names rather than Schema Names for Columns

I built an App that temporarily linked to Excel Tables and I am now moving them all to Dataverse.
One of the steps I did originally was create a Collection from subsets of the Excel Tables for when there was no network access.
I am now doing the same for Dataverse.

How can I create a Collection from a Dataverse table which uses the Display Names for Columns rather than the Scheme Names?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @messengineer ,

Maybe you could try the following.

Thanks. Yes I am aware of how to rename columns.
I just couldn't believe that would be the only solution so I was trying to avoid that outcome.

I was also trying to avoid having to use ShowColumns() to remove all the unwanted extra columns that are there in the background as standard in Dataverse.

    Hi @messengineer,

Would it be possible to ellaborate on the requirement? If it's to work offline with Dataverse/Power Apps, it is supported out-of-the-box but it's with model-driven apps. More info: https://learn.microsoft.com/power-apps/mobile/mobile-offline-overview

Also, if you have "Explicit Column Selection" enabled in your app you shouldn't have to use ShowColumns. The app will try to optimize the column selection automatically.

It turns out that when I create a Collection from a Dataverse Table ... all the displayed headings show the Schema Names .... but when you actually refer to the Collection anywhere (in Code, Dropdowns, Text boxes whatever) the Display Names still show up.

So I spent 2 hours googling this morning trying to work around a problem that didn't actually cause any issues.
