As the subject line suggests, I'm looking for clarification on the maximum number of actions per flow and don't understand how it is figured. I'm building a flow that is looping through a series of entries on a cognitoform and should it become a very large cognitoform, the power automate may be broken by this limit. From what I have gathered, the limit on the number of actions is 500 and that's about all of the detail I can unearth from what documentation I am able to find and what help I can get by reading other forum posts.
As you can tell by this test, the flow is getting a little busy and I do not understand how to use solutions yet. Since this loops through the form and completes from 6-8 actions inside the looping action, do those actions count each time it goes through the loop? Or do they only count as a total of 6-8 actions?

    Hi,

It's actually 250 separate action steps but I would never recommend building something that big anyway.  To answer your other question, yes, every time it loops through an item, each action that is processes counts.

A best practice is to break down your longer process flow into several smaller flows.  Here's an example:

    1)  You might have one flow that processes email attachments when an email is received, and you save it to SharePoint.
    2)  You can have a second flow that processes the file when it is saved in a specific folder.
    3)  You may have another flow that refreshes a dataflow and creates a table
    4)  Finally, you may have another flow that triggers when a dataflow successfully refreshes.
    5) Etc
    6) Etc
    7) Etc

That said, you can loop through more than 250 actions in total.  As an example, if you have 100 rows in List Rows Present in a Table and your flow has 20 actions.  Doable.
