Hi together,
I have a little app with some datacards on the right side. For keeping the cards apart better, I want to change the border to visible but not too thick. I changed the properties, but the borders are only visible if I change to edit-mode. Why is that?
I want to have those borders all the time.
Any ideas?
Greetings, Doc
Hi @DoctorJaegerX42 ,
Unfortunately, this is the default behaviour - you could put a Rectangle behind the control and set the X, Y, Height and Width to refer to the control and make it visible when the Form is in View mode.

Hi @DoctorJaegerX42,
This is because you are switching between view and edit mode of the form. When the form is in edit mode it shows the actual input control and allows the user to input data. When it is in view mode, it just displays the data and does not allow the user to make changes.
To work around this, change the DisplayMode of the input control from Parent.DisplayMode to:
DisplayMode.Disabled
This will bring the border of the control back. Then change the DisabledFill property to RGBA(255, 255, 255, 1).
Please tick Accept as solution if the answer is useful.
Thanks,

Hi @WarrenBelz:
I didn't try out your solution, but the other one from @AARON_C worked just fine.
Thank you though. I will give it a try 🙂
@AARON_C :
That worked like a charm. Thank you so much. Even without changing the DisabeldFill property, it worked just fine.
Small little followup problem:
I changed all the datacards except for one, because the Displaymode property is somehow locked:
Any idea whats the reason behind that?
@DoctorJaegerX42,
If you scroll up to the top of the advanced settings, you will see the option to unlock the datacard.
Oh my...
I was so dumb.
Since I didn't have any trainings for powerapps ever, I have to teach it to myself, hence those dumb little questions. Thank you again 🙂
