Hi, I want to rename the environment where I have already created entities, flows and apps. Is it safe to change the name of the environment, what impacts could it have?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Please check the below consideration of renaming an environment:

    Thank you, this article talks about the change in the URL, but in the URL I have only the environment ID and not the enviroment name.

    Could I still have problems?

    Hi @Lea_S

    1. Navigate to https://make.powerplatform.microsoft.com
    2. Select Environments, then select the environment you want to rename.
    3. On the Environment Details page, select Rename.
    4. On Rename environment page, read the information.
    5. Enter the new name, and then select Rename.
    6. Confirm your name to rename the environment.

    @Lea_S

    If you're not having any external integrations or overally complex solution you should be safe to do it I haven't tried it personally.

    @Lea_S , changing the environment URL, can only be a problem if you are referencing the URL somewhere, for example Power Automate flows, or Power BI datasets sources. You will then have to trace those down and change the URL.

    Hi @Lea_S,

    Changing the name should not have any impact, I've done this plenty of times and experienced no functional issues.

    Changing the URL on the other hand could have impact as @Mira_Ghaly referenced and is more likely to be used elsewhere by integrations.
