Power Apps in Teams: publishing app yields status code 500

... as mentioned in the title. After having chosen "publish", the publishing dialog is launched. Pressing "+" with a Teams teamspace channel, a tab for opening the app should be generated in that channel. But what happens instead is this:



Thanks a lot for any hints. Why does this happen at all?

    Instead of publishing directly to the channel, share the app from within Power Apps for Teams:


    1.  

      Open Microsoft Teams app

    2.  

      Open the Power Apps app (left rail) within teams

    3.  

      Go to Build → find your app

    4.  

      Click the … (ellipsis) next to the app name

    5.  

      Click add to Teams, Open and select the channel you want to share the app to

    This worked for me after having similar problems to you
