Is there a work-around for this? I have 2 comboboxes: Month (Items: January, February, etc.) and Year (Items: the previous 2 years, this year, and the next two years). My sharepoint columns of them are of text datatype. When I want to display those data from the sharepoint list in a gallery and still in comboboxes since my client wants them to still get edited and patch, ThisItem.Year and ThisItem.Month gets the error below. I don't really want to change the combo boxes into text inputs since I already made big progress unless there is no other way.

    EDIT** Didn't notice you already had the items set, see AJs solution below

    set the items of the two controls to something like ["January", "February", "March", Etc....] &

    ForAll(Sequence(50,-25,1) As DateRange, Value(Year(Now())+DateRange.Value))

    then set their default selected to reference your existing columns

    defaultselecteditems use this :{Value:ThisItem.Year}

    {Value:ThisItem.Month}
