What does "portal" mean in certification exam questions?

The overlap between "Power Pages" and "Portal" due to the name change from "Power Apps Portals" to "Power Pages" has left documentation, training, and test questions inconsistent.

I'm preparing for a Power Platform certification. However, in my training, (docs, AI, Videos, post, internet, hands on, ...).

The word "portal" is thrown around without care.

Leaving us bewildered when we read a question on an exam with the word "portal" in it.  Is it the normal understanding of a "portal" which is either an 'Admin' for a website or a customer/partner "portal". Either way, it needs "Auth". A website or a power pages site, is an external website. Not a "portal". So if there is a question and "portal" is used. How are students to know what you mean?  Makes a HUGE difference in how you answer.

Please reply VERY soon. As I don't want to take the test handicapped.

Doug

Pretty much if you understand the platform you would know.

    Portal.office.com is a portal
    Portal.Azure.com is a portal
Power Pages, used to be called Portals

But you'd have to give an example of the question as right now I see what your saying because you wrote it, and clearly you are frustrated, but you are asking us to answer a question based on not providing any actual details on the question, so that we can better answer for that question.

Again, if you know the platform and its history it makes sense but maybe it doesn't in the context of your question.

Happy to help, but as we aren't supposed to Share the questions on the Exam, can you please make up an example that aligns with what your concern is and we can answer you or at least try :-)

That or I would give feedback on the Exam to Microsoft and the Exam people (was ir Purvue?)

@Michael E. Gernaey,  Thanks for your response.  I passed the cert, Yay.

Just something that needs to be thought about in context, per question.

This is the current ecosystem.  Feature names, tool names, documentation and functionality change often.

No real solution except to read a lot to keep current context. :)

Appreciate your response and attempt to help.
