Categories Tree View

Hi everyone,

In Power Apps Portal we have a Customer Self-service portal.

We have a Knowledge Base section that displays Categories and Sub Categories that we've set in Dynamics CRM.

The problem is that for some categories we have too many sub-categories or even sub-sub-categories.

The current way of displaying is not very convenient for our customers, so I was wondering if there is a way that we can set the structure to tree views.

This how it looks like now:

And this is how the categories look like in CRM

And this is how we would like to configure it to display the categories

Every ideal is highly appriciated and welcomed

Regards

Kiril

    Hi @Radoslavov,

To create a tree view of categories you will need to use liquid object for categories (check official docs here - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/liquid/liquid-objects#categories-object) and either create tree view behavior yourself (https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_treeview.asp) or use some third party library like this (https://www.jstree.com/).

    Hi @Radoslavov ,

Did you get any progress? I am interested in this matter, I would like to develop a page in the portal where you can open the details of a record of a table. That table instead of showing a view of its list, I want it to appear in a tree hierarchy as you showed in your query and once you click on the appropriate branch, the record opens on the same page.

    Regard,

    Jorge
