Licenses used as a Partner

I was just wondering, as a consultancy company, which users/licenses do you guys use for implementations at customers?

We try to use a combination of our Delegated Admin account and a Non Interactive user in order to customize customer environments but unfortunately, for stuff like power automate, canvas apps, you cant use any of these users.
MS forces us to use a fully licensed user.

We don't like having to tell our customers they need to buy an additional license solely for us to be able to administer their environment.

I was guessing we aren't the only company with this problem, so I wanted to hear how you are handling this

Hi, in my opinion you should explain your customers that you are not just creating a software package that they can just install and get started with it. As a consultant, you are acting more like an "internal" employee of the customers' tenant, and therefore you will need a full license to do your work on their environment. None of our customers were reluctant to give us a "powerapps per user" license. In the end, if you would not do the work as a consultant, somebody else in the company of the customer would have needed this license altogether. You have the advantage as a consultant that you only need the licence for the (short) time that you are on the project, where an internal "citizen" developer would probably need it much longer... However, with the NCE that would not be valid any longer if you have to take a year subscription ( or a monthly subscription which is more expensive per month)...

    Just my two cents...

    Hi @joeristroy ,

The best practice is to have subscription plans or pay as you go plans, for end customers to use the applications. Please refer Pricing - Power Apps (microsoft.com)

For practicing or PoCs and demonstrations we can use developer plans. But with this we cannot share the apps to end customers.
